New Framework document 2008

What is Land Registry and what does it do, exactly?

Every five years, we publish a framework document which answers those questions in detail.

The document is a statement of Land Registry’s legal position and reflects its status as a non-ministerial government department. It also sets out the roles and responsibilities of those involved in running it.
